Statistics on Student Support applications for Higher Education in England in 2010/11 (Provisional)

To meet public interest in Student Finance England's processing of applications for Student Support in Higher Education in academic year 2010/11, the Student Loans Company, in conjunction with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, has started to release provisional statistics showing how applications are progressing through the processing stages and showing payments made to the students in this cycle.

• The first release is published on 20 August 2010 and shows the status of applications for maintenance and tuition fee support as of 12 August 2010.
• The second release is scheduled on 26 August 2010 and will show an update of the above as of 19 August 2010 as well as the status of applications for disabled students' allowance as of the same date. In addition it will show figures on applications prepared for payment as of 19 August for students who have already registered at a university or college.
• The third release is scheduled on 9 September 2010 and will show an update of the second release as of 2 September 2010.
